Easy to buy fishing permits

Another very important aspect is that buying fishing permits and access to the fishing should be easy. You can therefore buy fishing permits for most areas online or via text message. Simple and practical - especially when you want to fish for several days. Excellent conditions

As our name suggests, you can find Dream Fishing all over the county of Jämtland Härjedalen. Whatever your favourite type of freshwater fishing, the conditions are excellent here for great and interesting fishing, both in natural waters and put-and-take waters. The northern pike can be found in large numbers, in places such as Hällesjö and Rörström where you have a chance of catching really big fish. Grayling and the brown trout, the county fish of Härjedalen and Jämtland respectively, are both abundant in our lakes, tarns and rivers. Record size fish are not uncommon. We suggest fly fishing for grayling in the rivers of Ammerån, Långån and Toskströmmen.

Exclusive river fishing for brown trout can best be experienced in the rivers of Dammån and Sölvbacka, for example. In places such as the Funäsfjällen and Frostviken mountains there are mountain lakes and rivers with large populations of Arctic char that can be fished in both summer and winter. Naturally, you don’t find every type of fishing everywhere, but for each type of fishing there are select waters, with good access to the services you need so that you can focus on your fishing.

All seasons

There are always areas that are particularly great for fishing, whatever the season. Each season is alluring in its own way.

In spring we recommend fishing for northern pike and trolling with spinners, unless you choose to go further up in the mountains where the lakes remain iced over well into the month of May. Ice fishing is an under-rated form of fishing that this area is particularly suitable for.

During summer, fly fishing is at its best once the hatching has started. And our light nights are perfect for fishing around the clock. The prime time to catch Arctic char in late summer is at dusk.

In September some rivers and streams are no longer permitted for fishing, but others remain open for fishing grayling.

In late autumn, fishing for perch with jigs is particularly good.

During early winter shiny new layers of ice are your invitation to go fishing for whitefish, but brown trout and Arctic char can also be active after reproduction.

Winter and early spring is prime time for ice fishing, but the enthusiast can seldom resist any open waters in the rivers and streams.
